Handmade wooden chess set: board and pieces carved from olive wood
Looking for a wooden chess set that is made by hand and not on a production line? Nawara Craft offers complete sets, board and pieces, carved by hand from natural olive wood. No two boards are exactly alike.
What sets it apart
- No stain. The light and dark squares come from the natural contrast of the wood.
- Weighted pieces. They stay standing when the board is knocked.
- Two sizes. Flat boards in 20 and 30 cm.
- A natural finish. Food-grade oil only, no varnish or lacquer.
Which size to choose
- 20 cm: for travel or a small table.
- 30 cm: the everyday size at home.
The natural olive wood chess set starts at CHF 79.90.
A gift for a player
A chess set is a gift that lasts: for a retirement, a birthday, a grandparent who is teaching a grandchild to play. Each set is designed in Switzerland, carved by hand by artisans in Tunisia and shipped from Switzerland.
