Who is Nawara Olive Wood Craft?
Nawara Olive Wood Craft is a Swiss brand of handmade olive wood kitchenware, tableware and gifts. We design every piece in Switzerland and have it hand-carved by artisans in Tunisia. Our story.
Where are the products made?
Each piece is carved and sanded by hand in Tunisia by artisans who have worked olive wood for generations. Design, prototyping and quality control are handled from Switzerland, and orders ship from Switzerland.
Is the wood sustainable?
Yes. Olive trees are pruned rather than felled so they keep bearing fruit. Our wood comes from those pruned branches and from old trees at the end of their productive life. Why olive wood.
Products and quality
Is every piece unique?
Yes. Every piece is carved from a single block of olive wood, with no glue or joints, so the grain pattern is never the same twice. Small differences in shape, size and colour from the photos are normal.
Is olive wood food-safe?
Yes. We finish each piece with food-grade sunflower oil only: no varnish, lacquer or sealant. Olive wood is dense, does not absorb odours easily and does not scratch non-stick pans.
Can olive wood go in the dishwasher?
No. Wash it by hand, dry it straight away and oil it from time to time. Looked after this way, a board or spoon lasts for decades. Care instructions.
Gifts and personalisation
Can I have a product engraved?
Yes, free of charge. Most products can be laser-engraved with a name, a date or a message of up to 35 characters, or with your own logo or photo. The engraving is done in Switzerland and adds 1 to 2 working days. How engraving works.
What makes a good gift?

Do you make corporate gifts?
Yes, and every corporate order is made to measure: the choice of pieces, your logo and, if you like, each recipient's name, the quantity, custom gift boxes and the delivery date. Orders and delivery
Where do you ship?
We ship from Switzerland to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, to the rest of Europe and to most countries worldwide.
How long does delivery take and what does it cost?
Orders are prepared within 2 working days (plus 1 to 2 days if engraved). In Switzerland, delivery takes 3 to 4 working days and is free from CHF 35; below that, priority delivery costs CHF 7. Europe: 3 to 6 working days. Rest of the world: 4 to 8 working days. The exact cost outside Switzerland is shown at checkout, and every parcel is tracked.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express and the other payment methods shown at checkout.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Write to us as quickly as possible at contact@nawaracraft.com. Once a piece has been engraved or shipped, the order can no longer be changed.
After delivery
What if my item arrives damaged?
Contact us within 2 days of delivery at contact@nawaracraft.com with photos of the item and the packaging, and we will arrange a replacement. The procedure is described in our refund policy.
Can I return a personalised item?
Personalised items are made for you and cannot be returned unless they are damaged or defective.
